91-95 ka swap

Engine was trash so I swapped in a 95 ka into my 91 coupe had to put the old exhaust
Manifold on new engine. I swapped in the new motor and its in the car but when
I tried hooking everything up the distributor wouldnt connect
Can I swap distributors or do I need a new wiring harness.

I havent checked what else doesn't fit but I'm sure its only the distributor that wont connect

Bump. Anything else I can do? I need this car running ASAP. a friend told me I wouldnt have to remove the ecu or wiring harness because its the same motor.
I called a mechanic friend and he said somthing about a pigtail wiring, I dont know what he meant. Would my best bet be to tow it to a shop and have them fix the problem? I want to do it on my own but Ive hit a wall.
