looking to buy a S14

I'm in the process of selling my truck so i can get an s14. I've done some solid searching over the last week to get an idea about these cars. Ive drove lifted trucks for the last 6 years so im new to the car scene. Ive done almost all of the work on my truck and plan on doing 90% of the work on the s14. My goal is to restore an S14 and make it look as clean as possible and not some whored out ricer. I'm not trying to build a fucking rocket ship but i would like it to get up and go when I stand on it. I'm thinking around the 300hp range. Which brings me to my question, what would be a better and more reliable platform. Find a car with a SR20DEt and building it or buying a car with a KA24DE and putting a turbo on it. thought about swapping an RB25 but that seems like a ton of work, alot of down time, plus lots of cash.

Here's a pic of what im driving now.

Your lucky, I'm in a good mood. Its all based on opinion but seeing how your goal is only 300hp I would go with an SR. Easily obtainable goal.

Yeah, you’re lucky he was in a good mood.

Unfortunately, not everyone will be as nice, as these threads NEVER end pretty, so I am going to end it before it devolves. Please put your energy into an effective search and ALL of your questions have already been answered.
