no fuel, good pump/relay/fuse.. ?????
what's up fellas. I have a 1989 240sx ka-t. a few days ago my car decided to act up. I was letting it idle for 10 mins when all of a sudden it died. checked my fuel gauge and it was on Empty..
so I go to the gas station and bring home a 2 gallon tank. pour it in, tried starting with no luck. first instinct I check for spark, all good.. then I decide to take out the fuel filter from the "OUT" side. I tell my brother to crank and as I suspected no fuel was shooting out, put my ear into the hose, not even a hiss. checked my relay, all good. took out my walbro 255 plugged positive/negative to a spare battery for a quick second and it did sound like it was working. what other things should I check for and what advice do you guys give to do? TL;DR: fuel pump moves when connected straight positive/neg. relay is good, fuse is good, no fuel coming out from fuel filter.. any ideas? Sent from my DROID X2

Check to see if there is a ground signal being sent from the ECU to the EGI Pump relay (black w/pink stripe wire). If no ground being sent, ECU is bad. Happened to me. Everything else worked but wouldn't prime my fuel pump anymore.

Pretty much what they are saying..
I had the same problem I stabbed the Black/Pink wire with a test light and grounded it off too the battery and the fuel pump would prime all day long.. |

I've read about the 255s burning up when you run them below a quarter of a tank.
Try testing it while submerged in gas, instead of just listening. |
