no fuel, good pump/relay/fuse.. ?????

what's up fellas. I have a 1989 240sx ka-t. a few days ago my car decided to act up. I was letting it idle for 10 mins when all of a sudden it died. checked my fuel gauge and it was on Empty..

so I go to the gas station and bring home a 2 gallon tank. pour it in, tried starting with no luck. first instinct I check for spark, all good.. then I decide to take out the fuel filter from the "OUT" side. I tell my brother to crank and as I suspected no fuel was shooting out, put my ear into the hose, not even a hiss.

checked my relay, all good. took out my walbro 255 plugged positive/negative to a spare battery for a quick second and it did sound like it was working.

what other things should I check for and what advice do you guys give to do?

TL;DR: fuel pump moves when connected straight positive/neg. relay is good, fuse is good, no fuel coming out from fuel filter.. any ideas?

check if you are getting 12 volts at the pump then go from there so you need a voltmeter

Check to see if there is a ground signal being sent from the ECU to the EGI Pump relay (black w/pink stripe wire). If no ground being sent, ECU is bad. Happened to me. Everything else worked but wouldn't prime my fuel pump anymore.

Pretty much what they are saying..
I had the same problem

I stabbed the Black/Pink wire with a test light and grounded it off too the battery and the fuel pump would prime all day long..

I had this exact same problem man. Check your ground in the harness. If youve got ground then your ecu is for sure burnt.

I've read about the 255s burning up when you run them below a quarter of a tank.

Try testing it while submerged in gas, instead of just listening.
