Whats a tread?
just take a really good look at it, very straight forward procedure. unplug harness, unbolt the glass, unbolt the metal arm mechanism, take everything out

if its just the driver side window not working, then most of the time, its the power window amp. take it off and then solder it. u can google "240sx power window amp" to find out how to fix the amp.

I gotta say a huge THANKS for this tidbit. My Driver's windows don't work 100% of the time, but when it does, there's no lagginess to it. Window motors I've priced have run $150-$200. I would have been pretty upset to buy one and it still not work!!
