anyone who's welded a valve cover (i have), will tell you how fucking impossible it is to do what you are trying to do. welding with clearance is possible, this tight-quarters bullshit makes it impossible.

the orb boss that broadfield suggested will probably melt at diff temp than the valve cover - mating those two together without one warping is going to be impossible.
