5 speed install problems

I'm installing a 91 KA and 5 speed in my formerly auto 89 240sx. I can't get the car to start. I've read the S14 swap pages but they are no help. The wiring has got to be my problem but I can't make it work. Anyone else done this on their 240?

hehe,

look at the fuse box by the battery, check under it, you'll find a two pin connector, colors (iirc) are blk/white and blk/yellow, splice them together.
should fire up

I have that connector pluggen in. I swaped over the M/T transmission harness as well so everything seems to be OK as far as the starter circut. It just won't work. I did notive a blue wire that was attatched to my old ECU, does that have to be hooked up to the new ECU?

I took the engine fuse box cover off and noticed that the alt. 75A fuse was broken. I replaced it and then put the neg. terminal back on the battery and pop! It hapened again. Something isn't wired right, and help would be apriciated thanks.

You need to wire in the clutch switch to the exsiting netural safety switch so the computer can allow the starter to work..

I had the same problen when I did my swap. Take the alternator off and look at the place where the power cable is screwed on. There should be a plastic washer thing on there. If the theres not then it will blow the main alt fuse. Try this and let us know. P.S. It sucks too. Those fuses are $18 from nissan and I went through 4.

if you guys are asking how to wire that connector behind the fuse box, SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH, I cant be too harsh as ive written a few threads asking that but search for a thread started by me a while back about 5 speed or something, somebody posted pics of it.
