Can not believe the president would misquote henry ford, an american pioneer.

Henry ford did not pay his workers huge wages because he wanted them to buy cars and have a good life. He paid them huge wages because the work was monotonous, people never gained satisfaction from completing a project, and most were unreliable enough to show up. He would give many of them their first weeks paycheck and they would go off for days drinking and womanizing till they ran out.

He was perpetually frustrated with how lazy the common man was and how it was impossible to excite him to produce at high levels constantly. He would host training, safety, educational events, for the sole purpose of better productivity. He proved that better education and better pay did not make a better worker. Some either worked and some would never work. He never was interested in the a growing middle class. He was interested in growing a reliable labor force for his factories. How anyone can turn his words into saying he was for social justice is absurd. Unionization was fords greatest disappointment. "I built all of this, paid them an above standard wage, engineered an automotive empire and my workers talk of betraying me."

his book, my life and work would be a good read for the president, his other book, the international jew was a good read for hitler who based parts of mein kampf on it.

Cliffs
That'd be like taking a quote from osama bin laden and talking about what a great motivator he was.

It's not miss quoting - it's called rewriting history.

Afghanistan as in the country we invaded and have occupied for over a decade.

9/11 happened - no president was going to "keep us out".

Romney seemed to think that, although who knows if we can believe that, he's made a nice career for himself out of taking all positions while taking no positions. Romney is not a man of action, he is not a man at all, simply a talking head on a pile of money.

Gallup.Com - Daily News, Polls, Public Opinion on Politics, Economy, Wellbeing, and World

What did I say would happen! Ignore the headline and read the 7 day rolling avg. Romney had an post debate bump only to lose it once the news started to fact check and the jobs report came out positive.

Obama Approval 51%+3
Obama Disapproval 44%-2

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Obama 50%+1
Romney 45%-1

7-day rolling average

This shit is over. Get out and vote

Sounds like Obama's Senate career..

Hell his Presidency has been practically "let congress deal with it".

Would you rather have him do everything via executive order? How much power do you really think the president has?

Its not about power - its about leadership.

The spending packages are a great example. They had no direction or actual vision. Just billions upon billions in pork and pet project spending.

Have you honestly seen any improvements in the US's infrastructure, highway system, energy costs, or education systems?

Nope. Am I going to see any of that from Romney? Nope. And most presidents are equally worthless in that sense, but because this president isn't the one that you chose people will try to tear him apart.

If all your friends jumped off a bridge... would you?

Don't marginalize one Presidents failures with estimations of another's. It certainly takes a power hungry crook to become President, but not all of them are total losers.

I'd argue (in jest) that Romney simply represents how low the bar has been set to challenge Obama.

I think if anything the last 15 years of candidates have shown the irreconcilable flaw with our electoral system.

Romney, Dole, McCain could not have been bigger lame ducks. Bush, Newt Gore, Hilary are products of pure cronyism and nepotism.

Actually Kerry and Romney are twins. They both represent either parts limp wrested attempt to field a candidate against a sitting President. Both are New England area aristocrats flushed with wealth and willing to flip-flop on any topic to garner votes, and not even in a clever Bill Clinton kind of way.

Fuck it.

Bret Farve for president.

Your missing the point. It's called leadership. You give the Senate direction, shared vision and help them buy into it. You don't just say "whatever" and sign that shit cause it will make your party cronies happy.

At the end of the day, the President is responsible for the garbage that comes out of that cease pool... he can veto it, so don't give me that crap that "he's just a figure head".

I fail to see your logic.

So - don't blame Obama for the trillion dollar waste of a spending bill - it's not his fault / it's better than vetoing?!

WTF are you smoking, styrofoam?

If you think the executive branch is a bunch of neutered figure heads that are only empowered to smile and give speeches, you are sorely mistaken.

Anyone taking bets on tonights VP debate?

Paul Ryan by a landslide, Biden with foot in mouth syndrome.

The liberal moderator will interupt Paul Ryan in an effort to get him off subject and not finish whatever he was saying that was 100x more relevant than whatever spews out of DrUncle Bidens mouth.

lol.

I'm expecting a hard hitting Biden and Ryan playing the defense. Biden knows he can takes things a bit further and be aggressive and I think he will...Really hoping for some shut downs... Also curious to hear about Mr. Ryan's so called great plan for medicare and his thoughts on Women's rights. These are big issues and I want to hear more...

I honestly think the whole Biden "stupidity" thing is a scam. I can't help but question that all his blunders and stupid comments are actually well planed as some sort of "Take the heat off Obama" strategy.

He is set up to be the perfect wing man.
