Hey, I have mine and am wanting to lower my car. Anyone have a nice mean stance and want to count their threads for me? Pics would be cool too. Whoever has my favorite setup will get paypal'd $5

Bottomed out. Scraping bumper. Nice and mean.

Here's one thing to consider. Your stance will look differently depending on the tire sizes that people are running. What's good for them may be bad for you. If I were you, for the front, tuck a little tire. For the back, bottom it out.

im running 17x8.5 front 17x9.5 back w/ 215/40 (f) and 215/45(r). coopers in the front w/ champiros in the back.

i slammed it as much as it would go in the back and tuck tire a little in the front.

but there is no "set" high for everyone. you will have most likely run a different tire size and brand. some brands have super tall or hard sidewalls that dont stretch while others have super small and soft sidewalls that stretch like a mofo. so in other words, this thread is pointless unless you find someone with the exact same wheel size, tire brand and tire size as you...and with an s14. and do you have rolled fenders?

easier just to do it yourself and keep lowering it till you like it.

alrighty, well..to lower, to i move the bottom spring perch up or down? I'm just looking for a ball-park of where to put it. I dont know anything about adjusting these things. I just make them stiff.

Loosen the bottom perch and thread the shock body up so it shortens the whole assembly.

shock body up=more shock body sticking out of bottom or less? I would think that bringing the body of the shock up would bring the car up :dunno:

Moving the lower bracket up along the shock body (more shock body sticking out under the lower bracket) will lower the car. The closer the lower bracket is to the spring itself, the lower the car will be. The shorter the entire assembly is, the lower the car will be.

Man, my car has like an inch of gap around my 17"s, and I find it to be too low! How the hell do you people manage to get in and out of driveways and over bumps without ripping your bumper apart? (and, for that matter, underside parts)

I can get over bumps, and usually get up and down driveways with just minor scraping, my car still isn't low enough for my liking though. I've been thinking about pulling the front lip off and lowering it more...

on the old car, i only scraped the lip.
the car was so high, so i didnt get a chance to scrape other things.
on my NEW car however, it is completly different.
i scrape anything and everything every day. it's getting kind of annoying. :/
maybe time to give it a slight raise.
i cant even use my sideskirts because i WILL break them just getting in my driveway.

Sometimes i wanna raise my car just a little bit so the sounds of the rocks on the dirt roads around my house arent so loud. Then i get lazy.. and say "F_ it".

honestly... lower lower lower. Kepping going as low as you can handle it. But if you goo too low, it feels almost like a go kart. If the fronts arent tucked, it isn't low enough.

(thanks to dousan for educating me, because im just that dumb)

Done! Aggressive super dori awsome stance aka. as low as you can get it.

You can make it EVEN BETTER! if you cut off the last most piece so your left with just 2 perches.

Now
Wheres my $5.00?

i know exactly how you feel. my rears are maxed out as well.

but yeah, having the car slam does get old after a while especially when you come to the point where you get stuck on driveways and have to push your car to get it moving.
