I had offered this guy $800 in person for this car, given its condition (read: straight body), without the "racing seat"

Nothing else makes it worth more than that, and anything above $650 is really pushing it. Look dude, if you really want to sell this car, don't add sentimental value to it.

And FYI, i picked up another shell same day i had to deal with you and your unrealistic price. Nothing less than $1000? You're out of your mind.

I would figure for being an "experienced s chassis buyer/seller" you would already know this.
