Im looking to buy some xxr 522's for my s13. Ive been looking around online, but I can't seem to find any info on width & offset. My car is currently lowered 2 inches, and will be lowered more soon. Was wondering what would look best / fit my car. I also can't find any 17 4x114.5 lug patterns. Any help?

If your car isn't already on height adjustable coilovers, you won't see any kind of "fitment" whatsoever. 2 inches is a mild drop and it makes me assume that you're still using a spring/strut which in the front, will get in the way of achieving "fitment". XXR's fit like shit and you usually have to get some spacers to get them to look acceptable. 522's are the retarded demon offspring of the TE37's. If you're going to go with knock offs of TE's, I would suggest Varrstoen or Rota Grids but if you can go with real Works, that would be best. You will need camber to make you car look good. And lowering it more than 2 inches will give you camber that stock specs could not. As a matter of fact, at stock height, there's some negative camber. Not a lot but it's not at exactly 0. Please use the search function that this forum offers or use google. Rimtuck is also a nice place to start. Magic spec numbers are floating around ALL OVER this forum for S13's. But since I'm feeling nice today, 17x8-17x9.5 fits under stock fenders with fender modifications--any wider and you're looking at a world full of hammering and rubbing. +35 for a 9" fits but it will look sunk thus why spacers were invented. I don't advocate spacers but they help when used correctly. Learn about optimal offsets and deal with spacers when you are more adept to wheel fitment. It's really not that difficult once you have the knowledge under your belt. It'll be easier for you to figure it out yourself. Good luck. |
