my 95 zenki has a obd2 port so does it mean it is

Well I have been researching about 95 zenki if they were obd1 or obd2 so I looked at mines and it has a obd2 port below the glove department so suggestions if it's a real obd2 or obd1

it's obd1.5. it's not full obd2. if your car is manual your ECU probably says 3c, it's still obd1 with some obd2 features.

google it. You use the light on the ecu to read the codes.

First off, if you use a quality scanner you will be plugging in with a "nissan 2" connector, NOT the OBD2 port. Even on OBD2 kouki's my snap-on scanner does not use the OBD2 port to communicate, it uses the "nissan 2" connector by the fusebox. Second, if your car has an OBD2 port then a cheap-o OBD2 scanner will communicate through it...

On OBD1 dualcam S13's I can get FULL OBD2 functions using the snap-on scanner with the "nissan 2" connector. The singlecam's use the "nissan 1" connector and the data sucks balls.

check in the glove department.

go to your local automotive service and repair station, tell them that you would like to know why your check engine light is on.

pay them, and they'll tell you.

or.

go to an autozone or pep boys. many of them will let you use their obdII scanner. if your car does have an obdII port, then the scanner will at least allow you to pull codes.

or, do some research, REAL research, not just make a new thread on zilvia, and check codes at the ecu, via the red light bulb.
