![]() Hello everyone, I just got a 1998 s14 last week, and the window control on the driver's side doesn't work at all, non of the buttons work. But the passenger side is fine. I thought the problem is the switch, so I bought another switch from ebay, and that doesn't work too. I can't hear any click sound or the sound from motor. I searched and found out this is a general problem for s14, but almost all threads are about how to deal with 1991-1995 240sx, I knew the wiring of the power window was changed from 1996, so anyone have idea about how to solve the problem? Thank you!

Did you check if the motor is good? Get some wires and directly put power to the motor and see if it cranks. If it doesnt move at all, there's your problem.

I will try, but if the problem is the motor, why the button on the drivers switch cannot control the passenger's window? the passenger's window switch works : (

Shoot, Nissan changed the damn window switches 3x in the span of 4 yrs on S14s. 95 is different from 96 and 97/98 are completely different. I know on 95s, the driver side window switch has a built in amp for the passenger side but still has an external amp for the driver side. 97/98 doesnt have external amps, but cant remember if the passenger side is completely independent of the driver side switch. Like already said, make sure everything is plugged in and test the motor before you start digging deeper into it.
