To me, the biggest issue is the gap between the new internet users and those who have been using internet from 2001-2009. Usually those users are use to forum rules and formats where you search first and then receive answer.
However, after the advent of blogging and facebook, forum rules and norms are becoming very much so often ignored or forgotten. My biggest concern with the new generation of internet users doing as follows: 1) Not initially questioning material/source. Automatically assume as true. There are some 240sx tutorials some steps I would rather source to Nissan Service manual than to trust photo pictures and text on the thread. 2) Time is more valued than effort, where one would rather spend 1 minute finding out if a part fits on the 240sx and the rest of the hour using wikipedia whether Home Alone 1 made more money than Home Alone 2. 3) TLR attitude. (Too long, didn't read). 4) "If I do not agree with the material, it must not be true." A opposite of #1, but being selective in reading only answers they magically agree with. For example, using stock lug bolts to fit with 20mm spacers is okay. |
