Pretty much like what the title says. If you live in socal area (torrance, long beach, downey etc,) where is a legit muffler shop that have them do a custom system. I have one next to my house but i want to browse around. Thanks

my boy's got an exhaust shop in Van Nuys. I just recently had mine completely re-done there, 3 inch turbo back straight pipe with a single 3'' inlet dual 2.5 outlet.

There is a better good one on Artesia off the 110 fwy.

Gene's is legit.

Another legit place is Morse Muffler, in Burbank - a guy Tim there does incredible welds (builds race chassis', manifolds, etc), and they have a mandrel bender for anything over 45* bends.

They're an armenian shop and I think Vatche's cousin or cousin's friend works there. (Sr20detman)

couple places i know of this is personal stuff ive had done at plaza muffler in orange. on lemon and chapman

theres pomeroys in santa ana just north of warner on main st. good work, good prices.
theres manny's muffler off harbor and the 22 fwy before trask. good work, 510 owner. lot of pride in craftmanship...he likes it to look clean under there. clean bends, welds.
ive done work on my personal cars with these guys and i have no problem sending my customer directly to them. if you go, tell em adrian from discount tire centers sent you...might help

Anybody know of a shop or whomever that can help me flange my cat and a straight pipe? Not asking for straight pipe to be installed, just need flange work.

yep, they do mandrel. Prices.....kinda depends on his mood lol. I've been there and gotten some very good prices and some very expensive prices. Kinda a toss up but you want to generalize, most likely they'll be more than your standard shop.

I'm trying to put a stock muffler tip onto my 3 in exhaust.

For this kind of work, no need for mandrel, just find a shop that does clean welds. price per weld is usually 20-40 depending where you go

Mandrel comes more into play when you're doing a full exhaust system. I have 3" mandrel pipe from the turbo all the way out to the muffler.

My friend got quoted 120 for full mandrel bend on his integra... Which is more bend than a 240sx

I also live in long beach before and I agree with you that there is a good car mufflers shop there. I also checked their exhaust systems and I'm quite surprised because they are all made of good quality.

I'm no expert but I've been told that to bend 3" pipe costs more
some places don't the the right equipment to do it right

Mesa Muffler on Harbor blvd in Costa Mesa. Small clean shop. Two guys run it- russ and bud. Specialize in hot rods, off road, ect... Have drive on lifts that are fairly low-friendly as well as pits.
If you are polite they will help you create whatever you want. Doesn't hurt to pay in cash either

Kinda random location but the guy who worked on my car did an amazing job. I brought my own muffler and it was $100. Custom stainless steel brackets, amazing welds, and just the angle you want. I'll take some pics if anyone wants.

+1 for these guys if you are near the West La area. If not, it is worth the drive.
