Sup all, Anyone meeting up this weekend? Lemme know. Last meet was nice. Oh yeah as of now my rps13 is stock and it's an automatic and I was wondering how hard it would be to have fun with some extensive oversteering with it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Is Rudy, the guy with the SR20 swap that got 2nd in STS on 4/14 in Oakland on here?  That was a nice run!  And I wanna know all the details of how you did the swap yourself!

It was great seeing 240's out autoxing at the first few events.  Then all of a sudden, none showed up.  What happened?  Hope to see you guys again at future events.

I autox a 2000 Celica GT in STS but I'm considering taking my '97 240SX out a few times.  I need to get swaybars and decent tires for it first.

I went on Mt Hamilton Rd to the Lick Observatory today. It was a long drive, probably too long to be appropriate for a meet. And yeah the observatory's parking area is pretty small. But anyway, it was a really fun drive. =) It makes me think twice about getting stiff shocks/struts though. That road is really bumpy and fun to drive, but with stiff suspensions it might feel too bumpy and cause understeers/oversteers more easily, right? I'm thinking that road is probably way too rough for Tein HA coilovers even on their softest settings. Maybe my next upgrade should be a set of anti-sway bars instead.

Sup, this is Rudy.  This is the first time I've actually visited this forum.  I'm usually on freshalloy.  Seems like there's more folks from the bay area up in here than in freshalloy.  So when's the next meet fellas.  I'm down to kick it.

Well, technically the next local autocross would be Duel at De Anza.  But no way I'm going to wait in line for 3 hours again just to be turned away.

The next SCCA autox is on 5/26 at Candlestick.  This site is more suited for 240's since there's room for a nice long course with fairly long (autox-wise) straights.

Oh yeah, I don't know if you guys heard of 'Redwood Road', but it's a NICE road to take a cruise on.  Redwood Rd starts in Castro Valley, and ends in Oakland on Skyline blvd.  I went for a ride there with a friend and now he's hooked on it (and he rides an R1).  So anyways, I was thinking for the next meet, we all can take a cruise up and back.  Maybe meet up at this one church on Seven Hills Rd. in Castro Valley.  Reply back ppl.  Lates.

Well there's a backroad which goes from Fremont to Castro Valley. Dunno if that's the one you heard about. There is a downhill turn (Castro Valley to Fremont) somewhere in the middle that looks easy but is quite dangerous if you're going too fast (I witnessed a crash there that led to a small fire and 911 being called), and a couple unpredictable sharp turns toward the Fremont end, but other than that it should be a fun road to cruise on in a small group. I don't know if a big group would be a good idea or not. The scenery is okay. Oh yeah and it's only fun if there aren't any slow cars in front of you.

Sup Sup all, Hey Danio, what road is that?  Is it niles?  I think that would be cool too.  The road I was talking about goes from Castro Valley to Oakland.  One lane each way but there isnt really that many cars and you know who else there.  maybe 10 speeders occasionally but in general its a nice road to cruise.  Tell me what you all wanna do for the next meet.  Let's make this happen.  Lates all.

Well it's around there. Hmm, nobody will care if I mention the name of the road, right? Palomeras Road. It connects with Niles Canyon Road. In MapQuest, Palomeras Road is in Castro Valley. The search won't find it if you put Fremont.

Actually I think it the one that goes to skyline that SQ-XcON S13 mentioned but either or sounds good.  Do we want a big group or a smaill group?  I think I have an email w/ a large list of 240 owners I can send the message out to.  But I think a drive would be nice though, I mean it's a car let's enjoy it

SQ-XcON S13 Leaky Injector Join Date: Apr 2002 Posts: 67 Trader Rating: (0) Feedback Score: 0 reviews	Oh yeah, I don't know if you guys heard of 'Redwood Road', but it's a NICE road to take a cruise on.  Redwood Rd starts in Castro Valley, and ends in Oakland on Skyline blvd.  I went for a ride there with a friend and now he's hooked on it (and he rides an R1).  So anyways, I was thinking for the next meet, we all can take a cruise up and back.  Maybe meet up at this one church on Seven Hills Rd. in Castro Valley.  Reply back ppl.  Lates. Dunno if that's the one you heard about. There is a downhill turn (Castro Valley to Fremont) somewhere in the middle that looks easy but is quite dangerous if you're going too fast (I witnessed a crash there that led to a small fire and 911 being called), and a couple unpredictable sharp turns toward the Fremont end, but other than that it should be a fun road to cruise on in a small group. I don't know if a big group would be a good idea or not. The scenery is okay. Oh yeah and it's only fun if there aren't any slow cars in front of you.

In MapQuest, Palomeras Road is in Castro Valley. The search won't find it if you put Fremont.
