IMO the supra is an overated car. its heavy, weight distribution could be much better, they flex VERY badly, motor does respond well to mods but with the power it puts out stock it could be a faster car. I mean its as heavy as a old school musclecar. Bear in mind the 6speed is NOT the fastest trans in that car, in fact I think it was almost a year before a 6 speed broke into 10s after the autos had been there. supra's are nice. and they do get attention, but there is better cars. bear in mind yours has HEAVY ass chrome wheels read: unsprung rotational weight slowing your car down, and it doesn't help being in a heavy car already.

old school muscle cars were light, I thought. Big motor+ nothing chassis = big speed

The Supra is probably the best of the imports for drag, and it's a terrific GT type car...i don't know if i'd call it a pure sports

the RX-7 is still the most badass of all

old school musclecars were heavy compared to todays imports was my point. the supra is a HEAVY car, as heavy as like 67 mustang, 70 camaro, etc.

I agree. Change that shit.

And for all you guys who think a Supra is over rated, well...you are idiots. They can handle like a mofo and the engine can produce massive power with the stock bottom end.

Gay ass SR20s, RB25s, or whatever can't touch a MK IV supra engine.

...I will also kick your ass on the street and strip anytime with this car if you want to get intoa battle but I will never lose my respect for a 240SX just the driver of it.
LOL...I challenge you...TO A GUMPTAPE DEATH MATCH!! ガムテポデフマチョ!!

Oh, if anyone is going to come back with the ol' "But I can make the 240 smoke a stock Supra with less money!" routine, don't bother. I know.

agreed! fast, light and has that classic body styling that looks better as it gets older. assuming you can keep up with it mechanically.

my point about them being overated is that the majority of people act like they are god's gift to imports. I never said that they didn't have stellar motors, or handled good, but they are heavy, and there are cars that I think are better cars for less money, and stick right next to a supra. and I mean stock, not modded.

So you know the supra has alot of power stock I would love to see a everyday non exotic car step next to a supra do I really care no.I love Nissans and always will and as far as the weight balance its the same as the 240 if i klooked righ 52/48.The weight is only slightly heaveier then the S14 95-98.But has the power to re going that back. The TT wasa stock with 320hp and 300 ft/lbs tq and stock boost is 10-8-10 for the sequintial turbo setup.I haver been reasearching and can not say I know more then anyone else cus I just started a real in depth reasearch

well like i said it is only slightly more heavy the exact weight is 2753 dry so around 3000 with fluids and loaded as where the supra adds its weight from 2 turbos, intercooler, larger motor etc.... I mean no need to get mad but it has alot more to the car thus making it heavier not saying that the 240 is crappy I loved my s14 when i had it.
