Base timing is what the ECU uses to determine total timing advance...so if your base timing is off by 5 degrees, you'll either blow it up, or have no power. Set your SR to 10 BTDC and see if you can make any decent power...even at 14psi. Set your SR to 20 BTDC base and 14psi and you'll be buying a new block... Base timing is CRITICAL for decent performance... ...and 1 degree of timing is actually a lot. - Brian |
