S14 Fuel capacity question

I found out that the tank is 17.2 gallons, but when the needle reaches "e" how much fuel is left?

17.2 minus how much you can pump in when gauge is at E.

I should have stated that the car doesnt run as yet. I need to know because I will be blending fuels and need to get the right ratio, the baseline will be whatever the amount of fuel is in the tank when the needle is at E. thats why I need to know.

From what I've been able to figure out using my S14, when the tank reads 'E' there are about 1.5-2 Gallons of fuel left before the light comes on, and once the light is on, there are about 2 Gallons left in the system. (So E measures something around 3-4 gallons left)

It's worth noting that the S14 gauge is known to 'float' quite a bit once the gauge drops below 1/4 of a tank, so if what you're doing needs to be reasonably precise, you're better off draining the tank (not that hard) and filling it with a known mixture.
