Bumping this up, haven't checked in for a while.
Anyone use Untappd? It's an awesome app that helps you track which beers you've tried. Add me! My username is Buffoonery www.untappd.com Edit for threads sake: Had this last night, quite excellent. ![]() |

I had Diesel Punk IPA (Kansas City, MO) last night. Wasn't exactly impressed, to be honest. It wasn't bad, but I normally judge my beers with their compatibility with food and this one didn't fare well.

Had this last night, Three Philosopher by Ommegang Brewery. Saw it at my local pops and had a pretty high rating on beeradvocate.com.
Good flavors, little spice and bitter at first sip but washes up very well right away with its fruit. Strong beer and good sipping. Has more flavors and spice when you drink it at room temperatures. The other bottle is Black Butte XXV Aniversary by deschutes Brewery. This one was like $20 a bottle, highly rated aswell. Gonna try that tonight. Cheers, its finally Friday! ![]() |

^ I liked Tramp Stamp, it wasn't the best Belgian IPA I've had, but it wasn't bad.
If you can find it, try to snag a bottle of Anchorage Brewing Company's "Bitter Monk" ![]()

I'm a fan of all types of beers but always love a clean IPA. don't get me wrong a super hop filled IPA is great but I still respect and love traditional IPAs had this punk IPA by brew dog it was perfect. So I try the Hard core IPA it's was more like the Hopped up IPA of today. Also had the Tokyo stout.

I have had the voodoo doughnut bacon maple stout and thought it was disgusting.. but this is not too bad, the flavors are there but not overdone and in your face |

^^^ That organic chocolate stout is good, had one recently. The vanilla porter mentioned a page or two ago is pretty good too.

Just got a winter variety pack.
![]() Kona Pipeline was by far the best, made with kona coffee (My new favorite beer). Then the Alchemy Ale was second best, its a Pale ale. The Brrr was also pretty good, had the most kick. And the Winter hook was fair... It will be the one I give to guests if they want a beer. Some other ones I've tried lately. ![]() 9% alc, but one of the smoothest beers I've had. A great Golden Ale. Probably my second favorite beer next to the Kona Pipeline. ![]() This one wasn't bad. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Had some bite, but not too much. ![]() The F5 is my 3rd favorite beer, and current favorite IPA. The native amber below it is from the same brewery, it is also pretty good if you like real bold ambers. Their best beer from COOP ale works is their DNR. It's also about $13 for a pint+4oz bottle. ![]() I hated both of these beers. Sante fe brewing company must brew with sewage water, because thats the taste they left in my mouth. The coffee beer hid the sewage aftertaste a bit, but the IPA amplified it. ![]() Cowboy coffee was a far superior coffee beer to the before noon brew. But the cap is a little tricky to get off, That's not the first time I took the top of the bottle off trying to get the cap off. Maybe I just get all hulkish when opening beer, IDK. ![]() I also didn't care for the White Rascal... It reminded me of Budweiser done right, and it was still bad. |

Shop in my area just happened to get some Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, so I managed to snag one bottle of it. People that have had it, how does it compare to a beer like Parabola?

I wonder if any of you Zilvia Bros can help me out with this one.
About 2 years ago I was at a friends house and they had this beer that had an orange label on it, I swear it tasted almost exactly like Brisk ice tea. You could seriously down them like water. Anybody know the name of the beer I am talking about?
