SR Power fc d-jetro help

I just picked up a fc for my redtop, I clear it and hook it up turn key on and turn off boost controller and crank it up. Did the 30min. I left the injector settings alone andit ran pig rich. So I reset it and set them to .58ms ang the same a/f were 11.4-10.4. I set them to.70ms and even -.58 and -.70 same rich. Injectors are stock mods are hks cams 264/272 S2, fmic, intake, 2.5in exhaust no cat magnaflow, and a little head work. I cant get a steady idle ormy air fuel right. I also have no ac or defroster. Run good with the stock ecu. Any help will help me out.

Recommend you take it to a tuner. That cam setup you have is not designed for stock injectors (I am not aware of drop-in 272's); nor the stock tune.

You shouldn't be touching anything in the injector settings if your injectors are stock.

Power FC's base tune is designed to be on the safe side, so it will be rich until you get a tune (and there is really nothing to worry about if you drive correctly). If you set your MAF settings correctly then I'm guessing the rather large exhaust cam with no tune is responsible.

Not using MAF, has map, but I'll reset it and just change the boost controller off and see if it will run ok.

when you say rich you need to say when rich. rich idle or rich wide open throttle?

And how do you know the air fuel? You own a wideband? where is the sensor mounted?

At idle its rich, I have a wide band Innovate/turbo timer, I even recalibrate it.It mounted 18-19in past the turbo flange at about 3-4o clock.

Sounds good.

here is my solution for non-tuners using power FC.

The easier thing to tune is idle, because its only 4-6 blocks in the map. So, ignore the idle A/F ratios at first, and proceed to normal driving, adjust the injector setting (should be near 100~ because of the oem injectors) Up or down to cause your normal driving around town to give air fuels around 14~. Then start giving it boost, 0psi at first, and continue until you reach max boost (around 9-10psi on oem injectors) and verify the WOT air fuel is around 12~ at full boost.

Always tune the 12:1 air fuel for wide open throttle as the baseline global injector setting (because you are not a "tuner")

Now, go back to the idle situation. Adjust the 4-8 map blocks where the engine idles to fix the idle A/F ratio.

that way, you've "tuned" the idle, which is an easy 4-8 blocks, and you've used the global adjustments to dial in the other numerous blocks for other driving.

Pm or email Steve at shadowwerks.com. He should be able to straighten everything out and provide you with a good base tune

Few questions.
Where is you MAP sensor located?
Have you checked for leaks (Boost/Vac)?

correct me if im wrong..

If you are running stock injectors (370cc) you PFC should read 100% .07ms
if its still running rich you want to change the % value not the .ms number. The % number controls the flow.
The lower the % means the bigger the Injectors are. (Ie 370cc/555cc = 0.66 x 100 = 66%)
The Injector Latency is the .ms value. You will have to do your research on the lag times for different injectors. Stock (370cc) should be 0.7ms.

And here are the base tune values with some modified ones.

I have my map off the back of the intake manifold by my firewall, I might move or switch it to the center of the manifold. I thought you leave it all 000 for all if running stock injectors. Im gonna try it again when my 550's get here. I read both of those websites.

Lower you % value a few numbers. come down to 95-97% and see how it responds.
Is O2 feed Back selected? This can cause the ECU to hunt and have super rich startup and idles until the car become warm.
