Still a lil new here ordered some wheels yesterday for my S14
18x9.5+10 Front 18x11+8 Rear For all the guys running these crazy specs what did you do to make it fit, i know i have to roll my fenders, will i need a slight pull? Im planning to run 235 40 front and 265 35 rear tires.

First off, those tires are definitely not classified as max rubber on those size wheels. As far as fitment goes you'll have to to dial in some camber if you don't want to pull your fenders

I know they are max not rubber, this the first thread popped up that i think i could ask car is currently in the body shop getting a new paint job and wanted to know what other work i would need to do other than rolling the fenders and camber arms. I don't mine doing a lil fender work since its in the shop right now doing a color change and other body work......

You will need a big pull and camber in the rear considering the offset and width of the wheels. I'm sure the stretched tire thread can help you more. I would recommend different tire sizes *cough* 305's *cough* |

This was my old IS with 11 in the rear with a 265 and all i did was roll fenders, no camber arms.....

Yes i know that, the point i was trying to make here was that i fit 265 on a 11 and it didn't even look like it was stretched. So the 305 was a lil extreme....

you must have a different definition of "stretch" than most of us...

I really need some help. Varrstoen just released a 18" wheel in their es6 model and I'm planning on picking some up.
They only offer 9.5 and 10.5 inch wide wheels. I am new to the wheel figment deal and I want to determine what would be the best offset to go with with a minimal fender pull. Here are the options: Front 9.5 et12 9.5 et22 Rear 10.5 et15 10.5 et22 I apologize for the noob question. I try to compare referencing some post on here, but I rather be safe than sorry. |

You need higher offsets if you want minimal pull/roll.
For instance, I run 9" +23 up front and 10" +36 out back. I have just a minor roll for the rear and haven't touched the front. I'm not stupid low though, roughly 1 finger width above the front/rear tires.

9.5 22 might fit out back on an s14 but that depends on height and tire choice. The rest, less likely.
My 17x10 +18 are 1.5 inches outisde my stock, pulled and rolled s13 fenders (with 315/35/17s for reference) Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk

Sorry for the thread jack but not sure where I saw someone list the different tires and which ones are true to size, bigger and smaller. I know R888's for example run bigger and some falkens run smaller just trying to find the list.

Grassroots motorsports is probably the best place to look for more recent tire tests.
Also, the results from Solo Nats in the street tire classes. |

I'm not sure they're online.
The tl;dr is the top tier stuff is all fast. Rivals, Z2s, and rs3s. There is a new z2 star spec on the horizon, and a revised rs3, but they won't be out for a few months. Rivals and rs3s aren't as good in the wet as the z2, though I think the z1 reigned supreme for inclement weather. Autocrossers care more about street tires than any other group of folks though I'm biased since that's my sport of choice. |

So, I currently have on my S14..
18x9.5+15 235/40/18 18x10+38 275/35/18 keeping same wheel/alignment/ride height..I've been entertaining myself to some new tire sizes. 255/35/18 on 9.5J and 265/35/18 on the 10J I think this should be a pretty fun setup for dicking around the town. Will update when I actually get the tires. LOL

^ You'll probably have to dial in some camber and have some wheel gap to keep it from rubbing with those wheels in the front. I had a 255/35r18 on a 18x9 +25 in the front of my stock body s14 and the fitment was great, but I was really low so it rubbed.

how is fitment with 255/35 up front on stock tubs on a s14, rubs alot when you cut full lock? wheels are 18x9.5-1, will be running 30mm overs up front.

You can use this for reference. 18x9 +25 255/35r18. Only rubbed during really hard cornering at full lock. Camber was probably around -2 (this is after I raised the ride height up a bit)

Sup guys? I've been looking all over the place, but since everyone stretches tires, and goes for all the stances these days, I've got some questions.
I've recently aquired some Cosmis wheels, 18x10 +20 in the rear, and have a line on some free Nitto NT05's that are 275/35/18's (like, 8 for free!!). Of note, the 275s run an actual 266 as per FD measuring, so they're kinda like a wide 265/35. Question is, will those tires fit on the x10 +20's without stupid camber? I'm really not wanting to go past -1.5, and would like to stay as close to zero as possible. Pic for reference. mexipoke due to 25mm H&R spacers to my my G35's sit all fancy like, but maybe you can get the picture. Wheels are the x10 +20's, with a 235/40 mounted. With somewhere around 0.0 to -0.5 or -1.0 camber. I'll see if I can find a better shot of the rears, test fit only lasted about 10 minutes. Honestly, I prob need to just mount one up, pull the spacer, and test fit, but I'm just here to see what you guys know before I waste my time runnin' round like that.

Blackzenki82,
This is my setup on the rear when I was on coilovers.(well, I still have same wheel/tire setup, just no longer on coilovers) 18x10+38 0 camber, the rear fender is pulled 3/4 inch from stock. The big problem I was having was that the wheel inner barrel would hit the front of Rear LCA due to the amount of..more like lack there of, camber I had. I was toying with ideas on notching the LCA with some left over DOM tubes and what not..but never got around it because I am no longer on coilovers. ^That's my current state of the car(Tein lowering springs) I had 0 rubbing with my 0camber, so your new wheel being 18mm more aggressive than mine with same size tire(Mine are 275/35/18 RE050A RFT ) you are either going to have to pull 18mm more than what mine is, or run 265/35/18's to keep the camber within the spec you want.(it'll be better match up with 235/40/18 if you use 265/35/18 rather than 275/35/18) hope that helps!

I don't know what my camber is in the rear right now(I should buy a camber gauge) but I'm guessing around -1 or -1.5 with my 285's. I'm not dumped on the frame rails though. I have no intentions of going that low.
Marshall, I'm assuming you have little to no gap on the rears? If so, you're going to be cambered in quite a bit. 20's are too agressive unless you want that "stance" look. I wanted mine to be functional.
