New wheels

I just put on my new bbs mesh 16x7.5 +14/16x8.5 +14 wheels and wanted to post some pics.
http://community.webshots.com/user/brainfoo
I am saving up for coilovers right now so it will be lowered soon.
I am thinking about taking the wheels apart and getting the centers powder coated black and polishing the lip up. I am going to wait till after I get coilovers though.

Its a custom exhaust, I bought the car with that and a cheap (super cheap) intake on it. I bought a new k&n universal cone and made a custom bracket and now the intake is how it should be, now I need to deal with the exhaust. I am picking up a stock exhaust for now to replace it. I paid $750 for the wheels and they are super clean the only reason I want to refinish them is I like polished lips better than machined clear coated lips. I will probably just polish them up and leave them silver since I can do that for free. btw anyone know what kind of tool I need to get the wheels apart? also what I should re-torque the little bolts too when I put them back together. The wheels were in such good shape they even came with the original bbs valve caps. The tire size right now is the stock 205/55/16 I will probably go with 205/50/16's when I drop it. The car is comming together though bought it about a month and a half ago and I have done the 5speed swap fixed a bunch of little things and the wheels. Next month I will buy the kei office xr's and some suspension bits. Then I am going to focus on stiffening the chassis with some chassis bracing. I wish I would have gotten into dd20 oh well.

I like the wheels alot, just not on your car. Sorry Bro. Just my opinion. If you like them, then I say keep them.

To each is own, I like them and once the car is lowered they will look nicer. Plus they were a good price and will make perfect competition wheels. I wont run 17"s on the track until I am making more power its just a waste. And since the stock wheels are too narrow these wheels will do what they need to do. If I could get steel wheels that were this size and this lite I would run those instead, heck they would be a lot cheaper. They serve their function and they look nice doing it.

btw: what site does everyone else host on?

I wouldnt ever change the wheels because someone on the internet told me they were ugly. I chose them because its the style I like. The car is a pos right now I will be the first to admit it but at least it runs strong and it is something I can improve my skills with and eventually it has just as much potential as any other 240 out there. It will just take a little work and lots of $$$.
