![]() So I got into my 1989 240SX Hatch to go somewhere but I can't put it into gear. When I turn off my car and try to put it in gear, it slips in easily but when the car is on, it's a struggle to get it in. Can anyone help??

your clutch isnt engaging.
try checking to see if the clutch fork in the tranny is moving. If its not or is very little, moves mabye an inch total when properly working, then its in the hydraulic part of your clutch. If it is working properly then i would say your pressure plate is shot. reguardless the tranny would have to come out to check. |

Your clutch is dead. I went through the same shit in February. There was very little material left on the plate and I had it replaced.
