So I'm now confident Melo won't resign without Lebron signing something first.

Marc Berman of the NY Post seems to think so.
What else is Melo waiting for? Nicks, Lakers and Bulls have offered him everything they possibly can.

Personally I don't want Melo on the Bulls. Play Boozer another year and see how Rose does this fall. Sign a deal with Augustine. Go from there next summer.
