I did a sr20det swap and it was over heating, i did some tests and it was the thermostat was sticking closed. I heard that the sr20de from the sentra s-er one will work i was woundering if this is true and if not if anyone knows what one will work? thanks for any help

get a ka one
or get a nismo one

I only run OEM thermostats. NISMO is simply an over priced other OEM part. Search too!

The NISMO thermostat is off of a different vehicle that comes with it stock. I think possibly the 300zx. Same how the higher pressure rad cap is simply a z32 TT rad cap with NISMO ontop of it that sells for considerably more.

are you sure? bcuase z32 guys buy aftermarket thermos too, also nismo.
nisom one for z32 and opens at 65c
just like the billion and nismo do for s chassis.

I think I used one that was off of a SER, and it worked kinda. The shape of the thermostat is different. It's hard to explain, but the outer edge of the thermostat isn't tapered like the SR one, so I think it moved and caused coolant to flow past it, and my engine ran cold. You should check the thermostats at the dealership and make sure the one you get will fit in the pipe better, so it doesn't move around like mine did.

Yea the nismo thermostat comes from the rb26dett STOCK.
300zx NA cap runs 12.6 LB and TT runs 16.8 LB. nismo cap runs 18.2 LB

sorry to re-open such a old post, googling for what thermostat people use on road/track as 76,5 is far too late.
however

Rb26dett opens at 76,5
Just like VG30dett
just like any other nissan engine.

Nismo opens at 67, or 65, or 62.
They are NOT the same, it may be overpriced, do not let your bias tell lies.. :P
