![]() hey, just wondering if anyone on the forum has an s13 sr20det megan racing o2 extention. and if you do, what o2 sensor do you use? i'm finishing my swap and noticed today that my stock SR o2 sensor is way too small to be used for the bung in my megan racing o2 extention, it looks like it was bunged for an o2 sensor more the size of the KA sensor.
so is there a specific o2 sensor i should be using? or am i missing something here? thanks for your help. upon further research i found that the redtop and blacktop SR's used different O2 sensors, could it be that the megan racing was bunged for a blacktop O2 sensor? think i would be able to run a blacktop o2 sensor on my redtop sr without a problem? |

Ok, I'm having the opposite problem with my KA24DE stock o2 sensor. My stock sensor is too big for the threads on the MR Header...any suggestions for a smaller o2 sensor that would read the same?

from what i've read, you can use the o2 extension for the rear sensor (behind the cat) if you have a test pipe so that it takes the sensor out of the direct flow of the exhaust making your computer think that there is a restriction ie that your cat is working...
i don't need an extension just a smaller o2 sensor that would work for an s13... |

btw, I solved my problem of having too small of a bung by getting an o2 sensor off of an old hardbody... |

First, the bung is too close to use a wideband. Second, if you have a megan o2, you would have the screw that came with the kit. That is actually 2 screws, which allows you to either block the narrow band or an adapter for the skinny o2 from redtop sr.
