S13 Subwoofer Size?

so i have a 1993 240sx Coupe and my issue is that the sub i is a alpine type r in a qlogic box and basically the biggest issue i have is that the sub won't fit into the trunk area against the rear seats. Should i just have a new custom box made? Anyone have any ideas on what i should do to solve this problem? It's just too tall by a inch or so.

eh so i figured the bulk of the problem it's that bar that goes from one of the trunk arms to the other. If i can remove that then it'll fit in fine. i'm not sure if i can bend the metal bar or not. anyone know if i can?
