Is my 320whp good or bad? I'm at 15psi, no cams either. But that's what I mean, since I'm not using the 2871 to it's full ability, I would have been better off with a smaller turbo for better response. 300whp on a T28 is impressive. That's only the second instance I've ever heard of. But that has to be the absolute maximum airflow that turbo can produce though.

I should mention, my car is track only and therefore spends most of it's time at full throttle in sometimes very hot ambient conditions ie. during the summer. Also, the engine still has stock pistons and head gasket, Knowing this, my tuner suggested that we not use more than 15 psi to maximize reliability. I'm happy that we did as the engine has held up very well over the last few years doing countless events, even if it meant sacrificing peak HP.

Well first off, was 320whp on a mustang dyno? Those do read lower. 16psi on a t28 is definitely out of its range, but it still makes power, but mostly blowing hot air. Factory Injectors were maxed out as well. Lol. That setup lasted me 4 years. By the end of the 4th year, the compressor wheel was starting to hit the housing. Still I think that kind of use out of a t28 is great, they're pretty cheap.

If you're trying to hit 300whp than the 2871r is too laggy. Go with the smaller turbos.
