i had same problem. SR20det TPS is expensive. I went along and replaced it with the 97 SR20de off a 200sx. It fits right in with minor modification. Mod is not hard at all. You just have to chip away the plastic surounding the trottle hinge of TPS. works perfectly.no prob. But its up to you. this is just an option.

All you need is a multi-meter that reads voltage. Get it in the car and turn the ignition to the on position. Stuff the two probes for the meter in through the back of the tps connector and read the voltage with the throttle closed and wide open. I thinks mines at about .48v closed and around 5v when fully open.
