i have the C's type shifter, paid $55 shipped off ebay. I followed the tips in zilvia's install page and i've had no problems ever. doesn't rattle at high rpm either.

I thought obx fixed the problem w/ them braking. I thought it was only like the first gen. shifters that had the problem.

So let's say you managed to fit a Z32 shifter into a S13 frame/console/shifter area whatever, it would work? I like the Z32 shifter (Think its a lot shorter stick) and if that could work well, maybe it'd be cheaper to get a Z32 shifter from a junkyard. Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I don't know about this stuff.

Edit: Unless by VG30E you meant Z31s (do they only have single cams?)

Of course I meant Z31 (and S12). When did the Z32 come with a SOHC? It didn't. The Z32 shifter is a completely different design, no way it could ever work.

Ya, I didn't know if you reffering to all the VG engines or just the single cam. Well, there's my answer.

blu808 - why you figure that? it looks exactly the same as my pilot short shifter did when I had that, just that this one has the top plate a tad different.

also the short shifter looks about 1/2inch shorter but remember it then has that spacer that raises it 1/2 inch. my short shifter after install was at the same height.
