![]() 1998 Nissan 240sx
Clean title Price: $11,000.00 OBO Cash only Located in: Lexington, Kentucky Cash in hand for test drives. Absolutely no joy rides. Car is sold as is. Vin is available upon serious request. Backstory/Car History: I purchased the car in October of 2013 from my brother. I have not touched the exterior of the car at all. During my ownership, I've rebuilt the motor, replaced all the wiring, and fixed/replaced other multiple items here and there. This is a true 1998 kouki (only 2,178 ever made). I only say this because I don't think many people realize how rare the 98s are. The original color, silvermoss (engine bay color) makes the car 1 out 500 (don't remember the exact number - 576 i think) The car currently has 1200 miles on the engine, wiring, clutch, and tires. This car is originally a 5-speed manual. Exterior Modifications: Front tire size: 235/40/18 Rear tire size: 255/35/18 New tires Front & Rear with 95% life remaining Wheel Rims: Racing Hart CP-F tune forged wheel for competition (currently discontinued) Body kit: Duraflex V-Speed VIS Racing Sport Carbon fiber hood Exterior Paint Color: Velocity RX-8 red pearl (2008-2009) color -- triple stage. Crystal clear corner lights -- side marker lights Aftermarket tinted turn signals (Front bumper) Tinted license plate cover Engine Modifications: S14 SR20DET -- Rebuilt with currently 751 miles -- The car is still in the break in process Rebuild Specifics: Rebuilt by B&A Corvette (and their machine shop they use) Bored .20 over Milled and decked Wiseco Forged pistons ARP Head studs Apexi Head gasket All new gaskets and seals New valve seals, valve job OEM oil pump OEM water pump OEM timing chain OEM cams In short, everything else internally is OEM minus the performance mods listed above. Other Engine Goodies: Stock turbo (Currently running stock boost) New main wiring harness New Fuse box wiring harness New (Used) S14 SR20DET ECU (All wiring component were replaced with the rebuilt motor) Mishimoto radiator Aftermarket blue radiator hoses Aftermarket Odyseey Extreme Battery Front mount intercooler All new Micro-V belts New idle air control valve New Throttle Position Sensor New Coolant Temperature Sensor 300zx fuel filter Walbro 255 fuel pump Circuit Sport Mini Oil Catch Can (currently not fully installed because the hose provided was extremely cheap and looked like a garden hose) HKS cold air intake with HKS green pod filter AEM boost solenoid HKS blow off value RS*R Catback exhaust Cat delete, replaced with Megan racing test pipe Cooling fans (not installed yet, will go with the car) Aftermarket exhaust manifold WORKING AC (the system just needs to be vacuumed down. I accidently undid an AC line when removing the motor) Power steering Works New horn New horn relay fuse New horn button Buddy Club Aluminum oil cap (I believe) Nismo motor mounts Nismo transmission mounts Megan racing stainless steel downpipe ACT street (xtreme -- I believe) clutch kit -- same number of miles the rebuilt motor has New Stock Flywheel -- same miles as motor Suspension Modifications: Megan racing adjustable coilovers Sustec front engine mount brace Megan racing front tension rods Energy suspension -- solid urethane rear subframe bushings Energy suspension differential bushings Welded stock differential 300zx Brake Master Cylinder 300zx Brake booster 300zx Front Calipers 300zx Front brake rotors Pads replaced all the way around ~1200 miles ago Circuit sport stainless steel brake lines 5 lug swap Fresh undercoat on all four wheel wells Interior Modifications: AEM Tru Boost LED gauge AEM Air/Fuel Ratio LED gauge Double Pod A pillar gauge cluster New ignition cycloid Apexi Auto Turbo Timer Isis v2 Short Shifter (Equal if not better than the B&M shifter) Tomei short shift knob White gauge cluster Unknown aftermarket drift knob Kicker front & rear speakers Front Kicker tweeters Pioneer Stereo Rear seatbelt delete New passenger side window switch Tinted windows The CONS The only serious cons to this car are cosmetic problems. The back bumper is the worst. Bumpers are cheap and you're probably gonna Tokyo drift this into a wall anyways... No mechanical issues with the car. Conclusion Its a 17 year old car - its not gonna be perfect. I can be SOME WHAT flexible on the price but I'm not giving away a car with NEW major components (engine, tires, wires, etc..) Car is for sale as is! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. PS: Shoutout to bottlefed97 for kindly uploading my photos to this thread. I was struggling to get them uploaded properly. i'm not trying to hate or anything but how is that a 1998? The color of that engine bay is gold? and that color afaik only came on gold zenkis. It also looks to be a 100% original engine bay, all the stickers are there and what not. At the same time.. the interior is from a 98 so i'm confused.
What was the original color of the car? Moss? |

I believe the original color of the car was silver moss (I can't remember if that's the proper name or not). The title says 98. Would the vin prove that it's a 98? I can provide that to you if you need it.

good looking car. Price is good for a mechanically sorted 98 Kouki. Rarest of all 240's. We as owners of these sorted cars need to keep strong with the prices. Fair, but firm. GLWS nice car btw

Thank you for the compliments on the car. I really appreciated your comment on my asking price for the car. It’s difficult pricing a rare and heavily modified vehicle. I made sure to search this forum and try to find other very similar cars to ensure that my price was within the right ballpark.

Update on the car.
No new issues! The weather has been nice enough here in KY to take the car out for some spirited backroad driving. This car pulls strong for being on 7psi and now has around 900 miles on the motor. Im flexible on the price so feel free to PM reasonable offers. Thanks! (bump) |

Update: The rear hub bearing has been replaced. I've received multiple offers, and am waiting for a few people to come view the car.
Until i have cash in my hand, the car is still for sale. I'm still a bit flexible on the price. Bump for those close to KY. |

Is this still for sale? If so, is the engine bay the only part that is silver moss or is the rest of the interior parts also same color as in trunk and under the carpet? Im a picky guy and just need to know what im ganna need to get painted if i decide to buy this
