If you want to feel like having an existential crisis and at the same have a good chuckle its a must watch. I thought a lot of anime was dark but damn for a western adult animation show this is pretty deep.

Im sure japan gives no fucks on who to cast for all there shitty live action remakes and laughable terrible movies.

Point being in my comment is mocking the people who care a bit too much GITS movie and have 0 part in the movie/franchise or understand demographics. Its okay to joke and flip things around to make a statement on something. South Park does is all the time and its gold.

No point in bringing up the same moot points of both sides. We just got to wait until the movie is out and go from there. I feel like its going be 50/50 flop, its going to get a shit ton of tickets based on controversy and "social justice" rather than people who know the anime. It will either be like any generic syfi action film which will do meh like new resident evil and underworld movies or it will be a circlejerk block buster like mission impossible fast trek 9 deadpool vs joker 2016 HD

Im thinking the GITS will have pretty meh turnout. I bet a majority of the people who"re gonna see it are those who are unfamiliar and just see that it"s sci fi with scarlet Johansen .

I dunno how many of us anime fans would see it, we know they"re gonna ruin it.

Kinda like when they made that super shitty american Oldboy remake a few years back that flopped cuz no one saw it (including me haha)

From a block buster action movie view it will be pretty good but from like a film perspective it will just be live action anime trash lmao.

Most movies that are out are good, more of a thing to watch to waste a couple hours but from a quality film pov most are garbage.

Sorta the same debate as mainstream top 100 songs vs underground/classic artist/hidden gems. Those top 100 songs are good but not comparable to actual objectively better music thats out.

Have you seen the leaked info for the next arc? Firstly, I was almost sure they'd end the series after this one, but they already out info for the next. People are saying someone has hired an assassin to kill Goku, which means Hit is coming back!

They LOST. Zamasu succeeded by wiping the planet out and killing all the remaining humans outside of the Z fighters. Goku had to summon the Omni king to erase the universe to save their asses.

I just finished Hunter x Hunter. I hated how anti climatic the chimera ant king died, for being such an overpowered character anyway. At the same time, it was okay because it shows even he has weaknesses and displaying some humanity during his end brought the story down to earth some. Liked how the story opens up for a good second season with the dark continent. This got me starting to read the manga. Hopefully, they give us a second anime season.

This arc was confusing and had alot of holes in it.

Supposedly the next arc is that someone hired HIT to kill goku.

Finished ergo proxy. Would of loved it if 9anime didnt jump episodes and I never noticed till episode 18 and then realized I missed like 5 episodes. The story was already confusing so when there was a random jump I didnt question it...

Went from episode 1 jump to 3 then watched 3 to 8 THEN from episode 8 it jumped to 15 which was some jeopardy game show thing and missed a fuck ton of character development...

I really liked the show but skipping from 8-15 was a huge bummer

i will rewatch in a year or two when I sorta forget the story.
