SR Electrical oil pressure gauge

Me and my friends are going to install an electrical oil pressure gauge on his SR. The oil pressure sender we have is size 1/8-27 NPT.

What adaptors and fittings would we need to make if fit on the SR without the oil pressure light going on.

Thanks

The OE OPS doesn't trigger if it's unplugged. Remove it and throw it away.

you'll need an adapter that goes from 1/8 NPT to 1/8 BSPT. i believe autometer makes one.

difference between the two is that NPT is 27 turns per inch and BSPT is 28.
you could also get a non US spec sender like Greddy or some other JDM one, those just screw in w.o any mods as they are already BSPT

So all I need is a 1/8 NPT to 1/8 BSPT adaptor, and just plug and play? And will my oil pressure light really stay off? I don't like red lights lighting up on my dash.

LOL... well, that's true

Again, so all I need is a 1/8 NPT to 1/8 BSPT adaptor, and just plug and play? And will my oil pressure light really stay off? I don't like red lights lighting up on my dash.

And what's a normal reading for an SR? At idle, start-up, and once its warmed up?

my pressure metric
is like at 6-7ish on startup
at idle and warm up around the same as what the RPM is

i forget the measurement, just know what is good and what is bad. hehe
bad-when the gauge is beeping nonstop (when im moving, not at traffic light)

The light will not trip unless it sees 8psi or lower. Unplugged, there's no signal. Period.
