once my upper hose popped the car turned off and i didnt even try turning it back on, i took it to phase2 and they ran a compression test, it was bringing out low #'s like 80, 70... the guy told me that it was suppose to be reading at like 150, i dont kno wat type of units those #'s were but thats wat he read off this gauge he was using.... and yea i wasnt kidding about taking off the thermostat, u dont need it, its only there to heat up the air u use for ur heater

you learn something new every day

you're talking about the heater core, although the thermostat being there does help the water heat up faster so technically you'd be able to use the heater quicker with a thermostat

What are you stupid?? It’s there to maintain proper engine tempter w/ out a thermostat water isn’t in your radiator long enough to cool down properly so depending on the weather you could be running to hot or to cold never will you have a normal running tempter and god forbid its a hot day on a sr witch is already known for running hot but go ahead dude it's your car just don't go telling other people that its okay to do it.
