There's just more forces involved with the smaller diameter cams sprockets on the KA. It's like when you're in a high gear on your bicycle. The chain is under higher stress under acceleration. It's most likely why Nissan designed the upper timing chain to be dual-row.
It's probably fine, but I'd be crunching some numbers if I had stiffer valve springs and a high-hp KA-T. I don't know, maybe I'm just paranoid. |
