Im not a fan of bolt on or self tapped wide body, stupid low stance, 3% tire contact, fart can/straight pipe exhaust.
Though I would also say that moving to a newer more readily available engine isnt bad. So I cant really say where that puts me.

But having a nice reliable (at least semi reliable) daily that is comfortable to drive for long times in shitty traffic is a must in socal. If Tesla's weren't so expensive a d I had a nice place to charge mine at home and work. I would definitely consider them.

I'm kind of stoked about the potential of electronic conversions as well. Seems like it could be lots of fun.

i think about this a lot. i have a couple friends who work for various ev companies and are always posting ev swap kits and builds and whatnot. seems pretty cool and fun enough. definitely the way of the future, but i’m just scared there won’t be the same raw thrill of being strapped to something with thousands of controlled explosions going on inside it... although high amperage is pretty scary too i suppose... maybe i’d be willing to trade turbo noises for the sound of a tesla coil arcing one day.

I've always wanted to make YouTube videos about cool stuff I do because I feel like that is the equivalent of VHS home videos nowadays, lol. But then I feel like people would think I'm trying to be some YT hype beast. Normally others opinions don't sway me but the thought of people perceived as a wannabe TJ Hunt makes me cringe. I do make some videos occasionally with no dialogue but I keep them private and share links with friends.

Years of skateboarding are catching up to me whenever I get out of the s14. Caged low cars are not fun anymore. That being said, someone offered me a pretty spicy e46 m3 and a wad of cash for my kouki. I would really hate myself for selling it, but I could sell the m3 and have 2 wads of money and then get my life in order. I wouldn't let that deter you from doing something. Just come out with genuine and original content that people would want to watch and not something that Google would want to make money on.

I think it depends on what you're trying to do with the car...

If you want a daily that can blast some narrow winding roads in your free time a stock Evo/ STI is more than capable of that. Now if you expect a vehicle that will roast all four tires in 2nd/ 3rd and can run a 10sec 1/4 mile that's a different story.

I mean there's people out there that get bored of brand new 200hp+ liter bikes and would call older liter bikes "lethargic"...

Man you can't argue with these people...and that's totally fine. I have a close friend with an R32 here and he's only concerned with horsepower. He doesn't drive like an asshole or try to throw revs and race everyone, he just likes the pursuit of that power figure.
