Posting your IP is no more detrimental to your safety than posting your phone number. These things can easily be masked. Posting your social security or drivers license is something completely different. Take some midol and shut the fuck up.

Secondly, if you want to build your street cred, how about going down to your local BLM or equal rights activist group and ask them about the statistics. They'll be more than happy to hook you up with some knowledge.
