r180 in s14?

Anyone know what it takes to fit an r180 pumpkin and nismo 2way lsd into an s14? Do I just need the the pumpkin and output shafts?

why do you want to do this? im guessing its cause you have the parts, but i dont think that diff is as strong as the r200...

the R180 is just fine. the R200 is rediculously overbuilt. It is the ford 9inch of imports. Ever heard of ANYONE having a diff break up on them??

I'd like to find an R180 to put in my s13 - the 4.3 fd would be sweet!

to answer the question though, you will need 5-bolt axles. The R180 output shafts are 5-bolt, s14 is 6-bolt. Other than that, you may need to swap diff covers but that should be it.

I shatered an r160 ring and pinion in my 510 but that diff. had taken a lot of abuse for 10 years or so, L16 power I decided that its too much work but thanks for the info. I thought they should all swap in since you can put an r160, 180 and 200 in a 510 should be same with the 240
