![]() Hey all, I'm looking into new exhausts for my s14. Currently the Megan exhaust that came on the car hangs pretty low and has pretty much become a semicircle on these garbage roads out where I am. What exhausts have yall found that have decent ground clearance?
Thanks

Which Megan exhaust do you have? I think they've made 3 versions, their original cannon-style exhaust had OK clearance but people hated it because it sat too level and didn't have that slanted-up HKS/Greddy/APEXi look. So they revised it to hang lower, and then came out with a "low profile" version that had an OEM style oval muffler tucked in tightly. Also where is it hitting? Lots of variation between exhausts in terms of the axleback/muffler area but if your midpipe or resonator are hitting that might be more of an install issue or your hangers are haggard.

Have you tried shorter rubber hangers? Have you replaced the older ones? Usually the low spots are back by the rear axle.
There are various that still have poor clearance and that is relative to how low your car is. If it is slammed, you are t going to find a suitable alternative.

Okay then. If you need the exhaust to sit higher then look for ones that have a tighter S-bend where it passes under the diff. This usually comes with an OEM style muffler. This style gives a ton more ground clearance because it doesn't try to "straighten the curve" and tucks in like OEM. Like HKS Sport or APEXi World Sport.
