Well, 3rd gear is all the way at the front of the case. But bits of this thing could've gotten stuck in the 3rd synchro, sure. Usually what happens with a broken oil gutter is you lose 5th or reverse because they're in that tail section.
It could be a chunk of the 3rd/4th selector fork but it looks too sheetmetal to be anything other than the gutter. |
