Water Pump Problems

Has anyone had problems with installing a new waterpump and then having it leak from the weep hole? I recently purchased a 100% new bosch waterpump and installed it, it was leaking from the weep hole so I took it back and installed a new one. It was working perfectly but then a week later this one started leaking from the weep hole too. Its pissing me off because I have to keep changing these damn things and this $30 part is going to cause my engine to overheat do to running with no coolant. Did I use too much RTV? Has anyone else had this problem? I figured the pump would be decent quality as its a Bosch and not some japan brand pos. What should I do?

Junk all of that

Get an OEM pump, they're not expensive ( IMHO)

I installed an econo brand waterpump and it worked fine

the only thing i could think of is to make sure theres no wobble in the pulley which could loosen things up inside the pump and make it leak, like wearing out the internal seal.

make sure all your bolts are tightened properly and watch to make sure it doesnt seem to be "wobbling" while the engine runs.
