good question man, im in the same shoes as you right now. Im looking at purchasing gramlights 57pro within hte next few weeks for my s13 but im unsure of the offset that i need. The other thing that im unsure of is the thing about offsets a,b and c for caliper clearances. If anyone could clear this up for me it would be greatly appreciated.

PS: the wheels that im planning on getting are gramlights 57 pro..... 18x8 +30 offset and 18x9.5 +43 offset. I have stock fenders and stock resr quarter panels. would these clear those fenders without having to pull them and would they also clear gp sports gr6 coil-overs?

you can go with a lot lower offset. a friend of mine has 17x9 +14 all the way around on an s13 with rolling and pulled rears. and camber. +30 doesn't sound bad for the 8's but you can go lower, and lower on the 9.5's too.

on my s14 i went 17x8+38 and 17x9+38 and i wish i went at least 10(20 would've been good)mm less on each wheel, but hey, i had no wheels and had work and school to attend.

but with those offsets will the wheels sit flush to the stock fenders without pulling them?

Yes those offsets will clear but they won't be flush. Maybe the front if you don't have camber, I'm guessing the rear won't be, but hey, I don't have an s13. I don't know about the coils in the rear.

well i was told by enjuku racing that with those offsets it would clear my gpsports gr-6's. i just dont want to order them and once i install them be disappointed because they are not flush!

Yea, like I said I don't know how close they'd be to the coils in the rear I haven't seen that size/offset on an s13.

Depends on your opinion of what is flush.

This is 9.5 +30 on my coupe with a 235/40/17, you might consider it flush or you might not..

9.5 +30? Damn salty, come hang out in Sac more often, then we can pull those flat looking fenders and throw a 30mm spacer all around to have ZIPTIED style hotness.

hahaha. j/k man. Ziptied guys take flush too far.

...but I'll still roll your fenders for you if you want.

Not sure about the camber exactly, it's probably somewhere between -2 or -3 I'd guess.
It would look more flush with a wider tire also; I'll probably be stepping up to a 255/40 next time..

I've had some problems accessing the 916 board recently, but I'd probably be down for a weekend Sac meet to hang with the fellas. The fenders are already rolled, but if I ever get a set of crazy giant wheels I'll have you pull them.

That camber looks to be over -2 deg IMHO. I run -2 in the rear and it doesnt sit anywhere close to that. It's prolly -2.5 or so.

And remember, kids, Google is your friend.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.jsp

Both within the first five results..
