Unhappy a/c only works on #4

hey ppl..im having problems w/ the blower..
u c...it only works on speed #4
on my friend's S14..all the speeds work..
so i told him if i could swap it temporarily 2 chek out wut the problem was..
so i swapped it into MY S14..and it still ONLY worked on speed #4

im not 2 sure wut is wrong..
sum ppl r tellin me its the resistor..where is that?
my friend said that it was in the speed selection knob..
but how come it worked perfectly fine on his, and not on mine?

i never had this happen to a 240 but on some cars like Vigor if blower transistor takes a dump it only work on high.

take a look at wiring diagram for the blower motor circut fix should be pretty simple

Blower resistor. 5 seconds of searching would have yielded a dozen threads on it. Go buy a new one, used ones have considerably less life on them and don't last long.

Your friend is wrong....The blower resistor is NOT in the speed selection knob on the dashboard/center console. It's actually found inside the black plastic blower motor assembly. It looks like a narrow plastic credit card. You'll see it once you remove the blower motor assembly.
Anyhow, hope this helps..

LOL. This happen to me too but here in Gaybraska its either really cold or really hot so it dosent really matter.
