Emanage wont connect? any advice?
i am trying to get my support tool on my laptop to connect to the main emanage unit but it wont! i am using win98. there are no "!" in my control panel > system > device manager > com ports. im really confused and not liking it! the emanage lights up when i turn the car on... damn thing! any thoughts?!

that and try to reset the bios... i've heard of emanage users using that to fix the comm error.
make sure you have the support to set to look at the right com port too...

You may need to play around with what COM Port it looks at to find the emanage. When you open the support tool software go to the top of the screen and pull down the tools or preferences tab (something like that) and look for COM. Try every one while the emanage is connected and see if that fixes it.

Well, for the emanage u need the greddy certified cable (support tool) which charges u up the ass, or you need "simons" usb cable, which is usb to usb adaptor. The greddy one is serial to usb. Other cables usually won't work. Otherthing is its touchy the way it connects, usually you need a serial to usb driver of some sort.
