i thought i had stock shocks

what kind of spring or coilover should i get for my ride??
I'd prefer somthing that will take about 1.5 -2.0 inches off..
and still keep the good handling of better yet improve it..
plus a good strut bar too...please help me..thank you

all of that for 3500$ is it a great deal?? please help me with the spring or coilover questions. thanks guys

Those arent really performance shocks, so I wouldnt be lowering it over 1.5 inch. Heck its not all that smart to lower more than 1.5 with performance shocks, unless they're short stroke or a coilover package.

I used Eibach Sportlines (the old 2.2" drop) on KYB GR2 for probably the last 15k miles and they're still going strong... the thing is, I'm just waiting to replace them with Koni's.
The GR2's aren't great... but they're definitely better than stock.

My boyfriend had the SR2s with Sportlines on his '96 S14, and the SR2s kept on breaking. He later switched to Tokicos (IIRC) and now everything is fine.

They'll be okay with factory springs, but I wouldn't change the spring with them.

The GR2's arent stiff enough to be used with most aftermarket springs. Chances are, they'll blow fairly quickly when coupled with some medium stiff springs. The stiffness coupled with the shortened springs spells bad news on OEM style shocks.

If I were you, I'd change shock/springs as a combo. Its gonna cost the same for labor anyways. Why would you want to reuse ur old shocks when you install new springs, when you can have the new shocks installed for free.

Get some AGX, there is a group buy underway for around $340bucks shipped. They are adjustable and seem to be pretty durable. &nbsp;If your really cheap, get some Tokico blues, they can be had for under $300 day or night. You can get springs for around $200, give or take, no matter what brand.

That would be nice if they made AGX's for our cars..... &nbsp;oh well.

Just to let you know that almost all japanese cars have tanabe's or KYB's as stock shocks. &nbsp;They're not highperformance though. &nbsp;Thats just who makes them. &nbsp;Its like spark plugs, &nbsp;when you go out and buy HKS,Blitz,etc(japanese) spark plugs you're buying denso's or NGK's. &nbsp;They're the only ones that actually make spark plugs in Japan.
