I have Z32 brakes on all 4 corners and i'm still running the stock 240 MC. I got the Z32 MC to complete the swap.

If anyone's already done the master cylinder swap in their 240, and with 300zx brakes, can someone tell me if they feel better (when stopping). I have the 300zx brakes, but no z32 master cylinder yet due to money.

Ok the question now is how to plug it? Should I thread it with a tap and plug it with a set screw? or is there a more easy way?

That's a very odd hole. My MC didn't have it:

Z32 MC info

I say, tap the hole, use some thread sealant and a screw. Or thread lock.

As for the feel, it's awesome. I did all 4 corners first, and the pedal was super soft. Very unsettling. I just pulled the cover off of my 240 and drove it last night. I had installed some Porterfield pads up front, last fall, and never really got a chance to try them out before I put the car up for the winter. After seating the pads a bit, I was stunned by how powerful the brakes were and the feel of the pedal. The Hawk HPS pads I had before just sucked in a huge way.

It's a 1' Tokico. When i got the MC I checked to make sure it was on your list. Your website is great. I used it through out my whole brake swap.

Glad I could help!

Do you know if oil comes out of that little hole? Try bench bleeding and see what happens. I should have asked this earlier

importnut- how do you bench bleed it?

get sideways - i got the whole e-brake assembly and used z32 cables. I routed the cables through a hole in the subframe. it looks like it was meant to be there

Well, I just put mine in a vice and ran some fluid through it. I know some people will make short lines that are attached where they are supposed to go, then run them into the reservoir. Then, pump the MC to get the bubbles out. I just set it up, and let the fluid run through it. I don't know if it really helps or not, but in your case, you can at least see if fluid comes out of that hole.

rear brake swap

You'll need everything. If you can, just pick up a complete rear knucle assembly. Unless you use shocks with interchangeable lower mounts, you cannot use the aluminum upright. So, you'll have to transfer everything over to the stock upright. Check out my site for the details.

I'm hoping...soon...to get some stock 240 e-brake cables so I can make calbes that work right. I will definitely post that info once i have it ready.

it looks like the hole where the screw is loosened to rebuild the pistons in the mc. but i think that screw was on the other side. maybe its over there for the tokico mc.
