ok so heres the problem. i did my sr20 redtop swap today and the throttle cable wasnt long enough to go around the back of the valve cover all the way to the throttle body..so we just hooked it up going across the top of the valve cover. looks ugly as hell..anyone else experience this? i have a 90 and thought maybe the dohc motors had longer cables..

yes it's shorter.
I know a few people that did the same thing you did.

i have a 91+ throttle cable for sale on ebay, its only for $2.50!!! get it and put it on and you'll have a stock looking setup!

anyone know if an S14 throttle cable will work the same as the S13 DOHC one?

i currently have your setup, i'm going to go pull a cable off my friends S14 clip to see if it will work sometime soon.
