SR Dip stick popping out...

So i rarely show my motor off and do anything crazy, but I did it yesterday on the onramp to the 101... I was shifting at around 6000 rpm and by the time I hit 4th, smoke in the rearview mirror... heart sinks but that car still drives normally. So the dipstick popped out about an inch and shot oil on the manifold. What caused this? How can this be prevented? It has happened once before. Also, the car feels a little sluggish at low throttle below 3500 rpm and it has been runinng a little warm but not overheating.

Thanks,
Ryan

caused by positive pressure in the crankcase see if the PCV hoses are clogged

take the PCV valve out and shake it if it doesnt rattle or sticks you may want to replace it

check your pcv, egr is exhaust gas, pcv does crank case pressure

Does your car stumble at idle??To check the EGR Valve when the engine is at idle manually operate it and if the engine stumbles or stalls it is working right. Why the hell would a dipstick pop out due to EGR valve???

It is you PCV valve or you have excessive blowby.

update: i popped the hood after driving and when i pulled the dipstick out, there was air pressure in there. So my rings arent letting blowby and it's more likely the pcv valve right?
