hicas rack and pinion

i have to get a new rack and pinion so i was thinking of up grading while i was at it. i was searching and found out the hicas rack has a quicker turning ratio than the stock 2 wheel turning rack and pinion but does it turn as far rack i have now (non hicas)? thanks. and i did search.

It turns just as far as the non-hicas rack.

If you want more steering angle, get tie-rod spacers.

The advantage of the Hicas rack, is the fact that with a quicker turning ratio, it means your input i.e. when you turn the steering wheel, will result in a faster steering wheel to wheel response. Which translates to less slop in your steering in general and much more responsive turning ability. Giving more of a direct input response with no lag effect. i.e. you turn your wheel and then your wheels turn on non hicas vs you turn your wheel and your wheels turn on a Hicas rack.
I personally prefer the Hicas rack over the stock rack for all types of driving due to this. Its the way all of the racks should have been setup for our cars IMHO.
